About/FAQ

Q: What is Surreal Delusion?
A: Surreal Delusion is a website intended to showcase the many artworks of two people, also known as Chibi Tenshi and ShadowFire. We hope to inspire other artists out there, and even some non-artists to draw, paint, whatever. However you express yourself, your method should be unique and stylishly you. Everyone has their own talents, and ours are mainly reflected through our artwork, so we really hope you enjoy looking around.

Q: What is a Chibi Tenshi?
A: 'Chibi' means 'small' or 'little' in Japanese, and 'tenshi' means 'angel'. However, a Chibi Tenshi is a mad and insane-in-a-good-way thing. It is in many ways sarcastic, and in little ways contemptuous. You will find a Chibi Tenshi is very persistent in perfoming the most time-wasting tasks. A Chibi Tenshi transcends in correcting others' bad "grammer" or spelling skills. If, for some unknown reason, you want to know more about a Chibi Tenshi, visit the Webmistresses section.

Q: What is a ShadowFire?
A: As its name suggests, a ShadowFire is not the most agreeable thing. It has an extremely large vocabulary of vile and morbid terms, which it never hesitates to use. A bit on the aggressive side, ShadowFire excels in the fighting arts, in a ShadowFire-y sort of way. If you know a ShadowFire very well, you will understand that it is by no means calm and placid. If, for some unknown reason, you want to know more about a ShadowFire, visit the Webmistresses section.

Q: No, really. Who really draws this stuff?
A: Umm...we, Chibi Tenshi, and ShadowFire drew them and we claim them. It would be a complete and total coincidence if you find the exact same piece of art somewhere else, drawn by someone else. In fact, if you do, tell us; we'd like to see it.

Q: Whatever happened to (insert name of missing artwork)?
A: We don't just leave old pieces lying around here. (Well, maybe we should, for a good laugh or whatnot.) Anyways, we do improve, believe it or not, so a particularly old/ugly piece of work might get taken down once in a while. Don't cry over it though. XD If there's a great demand for it (yeah right!), it might just come wandering back. ;)

Q: Ur SiTE suXX!!!!! caNt U do nE beTTaH?!!!?!?!??!?!?
A: Well first of all, we'd like to see you improve your grammar and proper spelling proficiency. Second, no need to use so many '?'s and '!'s; we get the main idea. Also, your inability to use proper capitalization and resortment to sticky caps really pisses us off and displays quite clearly the unfathomable depth of your stupidity. To answer your question: No, we can't do any better because as you might be aware, we're no major computer programmers or whatnot. A conclusion I am drawing from you by your language ineptitude is that you can't do much better than we can.

Q: *Gasp!* I found a spelling/grammar error! And I thought you were the spelling/grammar freak?
A: We're terribly sorry, but we're not perfect in my works, and we understand nobody else is, either. (Although some of you should at least try...) Report the error to us, and we will try our best to fix it.

Q: I don't understand your site.
A: First off, that isn't really a question. Anyway, we'd just like to assure you that yes, this site is in English and not Cambodian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German or any other language other than English. Neither is this site available in any other language other than English. If you really really want to view this site in another language other than English, I suggest you go to Altavista.com and use the Babelfish translation tool.

Q: I found a 404 error/broken link/graphic that refuses to show up. What do I do?
A: You should do the obvious thing, and that is to report the error to either one of us. Go to the contact page.

Q: Can we affiliate/exchange links?
A: Sure, we'd love to. To affiliate, please check the affliation page to make sure affiliation is open. If it is, send us an e-mail with your website address, and we'll take it from there. This site is link-free, so just chose a button/banner from here if you want to link us. Text links are also welcome. If you would like us to link you back, send an e-mail to sd@ainoyume.net with your site address, and we'll be happy to exchange.

Q: What did you use to make this site?
A: The current layout you are viewing now is verson three, called 'Mythology', with respect to the sword you see on your left. (As you browse through the site, you will most likely find tonnes of references to the subject on which Tenshi and Shadow thrive on: fantasy.) ShadowFire drew the layout, inked it, and coloured it using Photoshop 6.0. Chibi Tenshi used good old Notepad for the coding, Windows Internet Explorer 6.0, and various internet sites for help (because she needs help). This layout uses a great many frames and CSS. The font you are viewing right now is called Trebuchet. If you don't have it, the font you will see is Arial Narrow or Verdana. They usually come with the computer as default fonts. If you don't have those, then I suggest you go buy yourself a newer computer because that's just sad. As for the title font and other miscellaneous fonts you find floating around, Chibi Tenshi is either too lazy to check, or too lazy to check.

Q: Do you take requests?
A: Currently, neither Chibi Tenshi nor ShadowFire are taking requests. One of us might change our minds in the near future, but please do not try to nag us to draw anything for you. You can always post ideas in the guestbook or e-mail us, and if we like the idea, we might draw it, but we aren't promising anything. By that, I mean do not post anything way too specific or detailed. Give general suggestions, and if you like, specify who you think should draw it. (Eg. "Woman riding a horse", not "Woman with white blouse, green, frilly dress with diamonds and jewels riding a burgundy-coloured horse with gray reins...blah blah blah...") However, Chibi Tenshi is developing an interest in illustrating for fanfics, so if you ask her nicely...

Q: I've made a button/banner/layout for you site. Can I submit it?
A: Sure, we'd love to accept your button or banner. As for layout, we will first need to evaluate that, so there's no guarantee it will be used. To submit, just e-mail one of us. You will, of course, receive credit if we use whatever you've submitted.

Q: Can I submit my own artwork for you to post?
A: Sorry, but as of now, no. We are not accepting guest art.

Q: Can I find your artwork elsewhere?
A: Yes. Chibi Tenshi's artworks can be found at DarkMark fanart. Some are under the Misc. Artists section, and some are under the folder Chibi Tenshi's Art. Her username at DarkMark is chibi_tenshi. Her art is also floating around Artistic Alley, under the username chibi_tenshi (surprise, surprise). ShadowFire's work can also be found at herDeviantart site (which also has some of her poems).

As more random questions are asked, they will be posted here (with the answers...duh).
